About Geert Leysen and my Beer and Chocolates Blog

My name is Geert Leysen and I’m located in Hoegaarden, Belgium.

While I was watching a television show where they were interviewing tourists about what they knew about Belgium, I noticed they always said the same predictable things:

• Belgian waffles
• Belgian chocolates
• Belgian beer

I find it so remarkable that this is the only thing that most people know about Belgium, so I decided that, since I was planning on setting up my own blog anyway, I might as well try and teach people a bit more about Belgium in the process, and kill two birds with one stone.

Since I don’t like Belgian waffles, I decided to stick with the beer and chocolates and this blog was born!
